Explore the Satanic holidays of the Magnum Opus Coven, where Sabbats and Esbats honor Sathanas, with a member’s birthday as the most sacred celebration. Learn more about these rituals and their significance below.
Satanic Holidays and Coven Celebrations
These are the Satanic holidays celebrated by the Magnum Opus Coven, a group dedicated to theistic satanism. The most revered holiday is a Coven member’s birthday, symbolizing personal dedication to Sathanas. Note: Satanic holiday dates vary annually and differ between covens. Sabbats (meaning “to revel”) are our most significant holidays, while Esbats are regular meetings or rituals outside of Sabbats.
For the Magnum Opus Coven, rituals like the Satanic Black Mass foster communion with Sathanas, deepening our satanic path beyond physical gains. Equinoxes (Vernal and Autumnal) and Solstices (Summer and Winter) mark key times of balance and energy, enhancing our celebrations.

Satanic Rituals and Magickal Energy
Satanic rituals harness energy surges, carrying practitioners’ desires to Satan and the Hosts of Hell. Lunar cycles don’t dictate our workings, though full and new moons amplify energy. When calling demons, sincerity matters more than moon phases—I’ve seen results countless times.
Establishing a connection with Hell’s guests is key. New practitioners may feel fear or awe as these events clash with their physical reality, no preparation fully bracing them for the experience.
Sacrifice in Satanic Tradition
Anton LaVey often discussed Satanic ritual sacrifice by proxy, a modern substitute for ancient practices of real animal or human sacrifice. Historically, Satanists believed blood—especially from newborns—held magical properties, heightened by pain-induced adrenaline. Aleister Crowley’s experiments at the Abbey of Thelema, like combining sex and sacrifice, aimed to reach higher spiritual planes.
Today’s practitioners learn from these ancient methods, seeking new ways to harness Satanic energy for future generations.
Cognitive Magick and Astral Projection
Some Satanists practice Cognitive Magick, using the mind alone for rituals, claiming success rivaling physical ceremonies. The mind drives all magick—thoughts fuel spells and hexes. Astral Projection lets practitioners transcend time and space, performing magick from home.
Children naturally wield imagination, but societal norms often suppress it. A few retain this gift, and for Satanists who nurture it, there are no limits.
